Comanda is written and maintained in Girona. When you call, you speak to the person who built the software — in English, Catalan or Spanish — not to an agent who opens a ticket and calls you back in two days. That changes what you can actually expect: a question at half past nine on a Friday gets answered on the phone, and if somebody needs to come to the venue, they come. For a bar that cannot pause service at midnight, distance matters more than a feature list in a brochure. We know the hardware that tends to sit behind a bar around here, and which systems venues in the city and the comarca are running.
The whole service in one system
Floor, orders, payments, QR menu, bookings and statistics are all in the same program, with no separate modules and no per-feature fees. You see the inside and the terrace with every table, its state and its running total, and a table opens with one tap. Variants and extras are marked on the line itself, and each station prints its own: bar, kitchen, grill. At payment time the bill splits by item, by diner or evenly, with cash and card on the same table and the change already worked out. Off the floor, sales by day and by product, bookings, the catalogue and your staff are managed from the browser, and what you change there reaches the terminals in seconds without closing the bar.
How we start
- You tell us how many tables you have, how many stations print, and what you use now. Half an hour, at your place or over video.
- We show you the system running on a demo restaurant: the floor, the kitchen orders and taking payment, on your tablet and with your printer.
- We set the POS up on your tablet and connect your ticket printer. If something you own will not work, we say so before you buy anything.
- If you decide to go ahead, we load your menu, register you for VeriFactu and train the team at the bar, during a normal shift, which is where it actually gets learned.
Questions from venues in Girona
- Do you come to the venue, or is it all remote?
- We come. The demo and the setup happen at your place if you are in Girona or the comarca, with your tablet and your printer switched on. Follow-up afterwards is usually by phone or video, which for one specific question is faster for everyone.
- Can you support me in English?
- Yes, and in Catalan and Spanish. The app, the QR menu and the tickets run in all three languages, and each waiter picks their own when they sign in with their PIN.
- Will the printer I already own work?
- If it is a network ESC/POS ticket printer, usually yes. We check it during the demo with your equipment switched on, before you buy anything. We do not sell hardware: if something is missing, we point you at inexpensive options we have already tested.
- How long does it take to go live?
- A small venue can be working within a few days. The menu sets the pace: once you decide to go ahead, we load it for you so you do not lose shifts typing it in yourself.
