ComandaBook a demo

VeriFactu software for restaurants, built into the POS

Not a separate module and not an extra fee. Every sale you take on Comanda creates its tax record, chains it to the one before, and files it with the Spanish tax office along with the receipt.

The VeriFactu compliance screen showing the status of filings with the AEAT

Nothing changes at the bar

Compliance is a consequence of taking payment, not another job for the waiter. You charge exactly as before — by item, by diner or evenly, with cash and card on the same table — and the record is created on its own, chained and filed. Nobody has to remember anything at closing, tick a box, or export a file at the end of the month to send to the accountant. That is the difference between a system that complies and one that makes you comply: if the team has to do an extra step at two in the morning, that step eventually gets skipped.

The VeriFactu audit view: chained tax records and their status at the AEAT

You can see all of it, and you can take it with you

The audit view shows every tax record, its hash, the record it chains to, and whether the AEAT accepted or rejected it, with the reason. It is not a black box you have to trust: it is a list you can read and check when somebody asks. And the data is yours, so records export to CSV from that same screen and each record’s XML downloads individually. If you ever move to another system, the information goes with you — which is how it should always work and often does not.

A tax record with its hash and its receipt from the AEAT

How it works, sale by sale

  1. You close a table exactly as on any other day, with whatever split and payment methods the table asks for.
  2. Comanda creates that sale’s record and chains it to the previous one, so the series cannot be altered without it showing.
  3. The record is filed with the AEAT and the receipt for the response — accepted or rejected — is stored.
  4. The audit view keeps all of it readable and exportable to CSV and XML, whenever you or your accountant need it.

Questions about VeriFactu

Is VeriFactu included or charged separately?
Included. Creating, chaining and filing the records is part of the monthly fee, with no separate module and no cost per document issued.
What happens to VeriFactu if I am coming from another POS?
Comanda creates and chains records from the first sale you take on it. Records from before that remain the responsibility of the system that issued them; they cannot be imported into a chain that did not generate them.
Can I get my tax records out?
Yes. They export to CSV from the VeriFactu audit view, and each record’s XML downloads on its own. You do not have to request it or wait for somebody to prepare it for you.
What happens if the AEAT rejects a filing?
It appears in the audit view with its status and the reason for the rejection, rather than failing silently. A filing that fails without telling you is the worst case, because you find out months later with an inspection already in front of you. Knowing something did not go through is exactly what lets you fix it in time.
